One of the most important tips to stop smoking is not to go it alone, unless you are by nature a loner who always draws on their own inner strength to get through any crisis. There are support groups in just about every major urban area now that the numbers of people trying to quit has risen so dramatically. For those who don't live in a populated area or who just spend a lot of time indoors there is always the Internet and the support groups there. Interacting with others who have beaten the habit can be extremely inspiring to you in your own quest, and those who have succeeded can provide many useful tips to stop smoking.
